Position Title : DREAMS Provincial Program Administrator

Location : King Cetshwayo or uGu District (KZN)

 

Context :

Under the supervision of the DREAMS SAB Provincial Manager, The DREAMS Provincial Technical Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the implementation of DREAMS Safe Spaces for AGYW and ensure layering and linkages to the DREAMS core package of services at a district and sub-district level. The DREAMS Provincial Technical Officer will supervise and support the AGYW Mentor Supervisors to coordinate and monitor implementation of ES and SAB activities in safe spaces. S/he will report to the DREAMS Provincial Manager (SAB), in the FHI 360 Capacity Development and Support (CDS) DREAMS project. This initiative is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), as part of the (CDS) program.

Key Responsibility Area :

  • Provide day to day professional administrative support to the Kwa-Zulu Natal DREAMS Team ;
  • Coordinate and consolidate monthly staff work plans ;
  • Collect and consolidate staff daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports ;
  • Provide support in delivering PowerPoint presentations ;
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings and workshop logistics ;
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, events and other similar activities ;
  • Set up and maintain project record keeping and database systems ;
  • Assist District Coordinators to collect timesheets from Mentors for submission to OVC partners ;
  • Ensure asset list is updated ;
  • Assist in data capturing ;
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications, Experience/Skills :

  • Experience in the donor funding environment ;
  • Implementation of Safeguarding modules and reporting mechanism knowledge ;
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching of Adolescent Girls and Young Women ;
  • Experience in developing Quality Assurance Plans ;
  • Ability to represent FHI 360 to donors, government district officials and the NGO community ;
  • High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English and other languages including excellent ;
  • Ability to manage work independently, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities ;
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong interpersonal skills ;
  • Flexible and willingness to undertake additional responsibilities ;
  • Well-developed computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and other applications ;
  • Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable car ;
  • Eligibility to work in South Africa and reside in the DREAMS implementation district.

Travel : 60%-80% travel time.
