Job Summary :

Under the supervision of the Protection Officer (GBV), the Social Service Worker (GBV) will be responsible for provide standard and ethical survivor-centered approach GBV case management response to GBV survivors, arrange confidential filing system and case management data system. You will provide guidance on case management to community volunteer trained caseworkers and provide direct support to complicated cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES :

  • Identify capacity building needs training for community volunteers trained caseworkers ;
  • Organize weekly case management supervision and coaching with community volunteer trained caseworkers ;
  • Receive cases, classified and register ;
  • Conducted initial assessment, ensure safety of survivor and arrange the services with respect individual dignity and confidentiality ;
  • Uphold the survivors centered approaching ;
  • Appropriated and ethical referral survivor to services provider ;
  • Ensure all cases information be kept in highest confidential ;
  • Ensure safety of cases information sharing protocol ;
  • Maintain all cases filing in locked system ;
  • Support rolling out of GBVIMS+ as a main actor in this database system. Providing incident recording (IR) to protection assistant (GBV) to compiling GBVIMS ;
  • Plan with Protection Assistant (GBV case management supervisor) on case management supervision and coaching ;
  • Work in close collaboration with the Protection Assistant (GBV) to strengthen our relationship with the community and to strengthen the referral system ;
  • Work with the FHI 360 GBV team to ensure close links between case management and our work with community-based protection mechanism ;
  • Support FHI 360 protection sectors to conduct awareness session on GBV social mobilization if required ;
  • Support FHI 360 protection sectors in all events ;
  • Support FHI 360 monitoring, assessment and evaluation activities which including KII, survey, FGD, …etc. ;
  • Support IDP site/camp and host community safety audit ;
  • Provide weekly report to Protection Assistant (GBV case management supervisors) for consolidation of information to submit to Protection Officer and Protection Coordinator ;
  • Work with FHI 360 staff and partners to ensure that Protection, Gender and GBV considerations are mainstreaming and integrated into the program design and activities, including monitoring and evaluation ;
  • Work with FHI 360 GBV team, FHI 360 CP team, local authorities, community leaders and program participants to establish a referral pathway for survivors of gender-based violence ;
  • Support FHI 360 CFM (Community complaint and feedback mechanism) ;
  • Develop monthly work plans in advance and present to Protection Officer (GBV) ;
  • Support information as requirement from supervisor and Protection Coordinator which not breach the data information management principle ;
  • Any other responsibilities as requested by supervisor and Protection Coordinator.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • University Degree or equivalent in Sociology, Psychology, Nurse, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, or its recognized equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience with NGO or CBO ;
  • One-year relevant experience in Gender Based Violence programming including Case Management is desirable ;
  • Must adhere to GBV Core Guiding Principles and international humanitarian principles and standards for GBViE ;
  • Strong background and skills in facilitating trainings, coaching and mentoring others ;
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel ;
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties ;
  • Enthusiasm to learn ;
  • Optimistic and friendly ;
  • Flexibility ;
  • Fluent in Portuguese, excellent in English is an asset.
