  1. The African Development Bank now invites Individual Consultants to express their interest for in the following Assignment : Associate Research Consultant (local position), within MFW4A Secretariat.
  2. The consultant will be part of the MFW4A Team and will report to the Research and Knowledge Manager. Specifically, his/her functions and responsibilities are, but not limited to :
  • Conduct a weekly review of new research, policy papers, and other documents published on MFW4A Partners’ websites, and identify and select relevant materials and information for the Partnership’s website ;
  • Compile Financial  Sector  Development’s  projects  from  Donors  and  others Development Finance institutions to regularly update the MFW4A Donor Projects Database and draft periodic extractions ;
  • Draft, review and update the MFW4A country and thematic profiles ;
  • Work with the Knowledge Management Team and the MFW4A’s website developers to conduct reviews and testing of the website pages and links ;
  • Assist the Communications Officer with background research for the MFW4A Interim and Annual Reports ;
  • Conduct background research, assist in preparing and organizing MFW4A flagship events, conferences and workshops, and draft post-event reports ;
  • Draft information notes and knowledge briefs for the Partnership in coordination with the Knowledge Manager, the Thematic Pillar Heads, the Coordinator and the donors ;
  • In coordination with the rest of the Knowledge Management team, support the development of new publications, knowledge products and innovative features for the website.
  1. The candidate should have at least a Master Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related fields with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the region ;
  2. Interested Individual Consultants must provide information on their capacity and experience indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Resume, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.) ;
  3. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants”, for projects financed under the African Development Bank window, May 2008 edition, revised in July 2012 which is available on the Bank’s website at (http://www.afdb.org) The Bank is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest ;
  4. The assignment will have an initial duration of six (06) months, renewable upon successful completion of the assigned tasks. The position is located within the MFW4A Secretariat in Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire. The commencement date is planned for March 11th, 2019 ;
