OUTFITTING OF AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK

The African Development Bank (hereafter designated as “the Bank” or “the AfDB”) is desirous to enter into an agreement with a vendor (or vendors) who has (have) skills in handling the following works at the African Development Bank- Nairobi Regional Office located in Khushee Towers 10 Longonot Road, Upperhill;

  • Civil works related to the expansion and partitioning of premises,
  • Construction of a removable shed on the roof of the building Civil works (Partitioning, floor covering, ceilings, paintwork, Decoration, Plumbing,, Blinds, Signage and other associated works) Bidders must submit bids for the entire project as one
  1. All works to be provided under this solicitation shall be provided by vendors from eligible member countries of the African Development Bank. The complete list of member countries is available in the Instructions for Bidding (ITB) Document, Section 6.
  2. The minimum Qualification criteria :
  • Bidders must, be established under the laws of a member country, whose the majority of the capital is owned by nationals of member countries, and which are settled in one of the member countries ;
  • Shall provide Financial Statements for the last three years, (2015, 2016 and 2017 or latest) with a minimum average annual turnover of KES. 15 Million ;
  • Shall have a minimum of 5 [five years] experience ;
  • Successfully or substantially implemented as a prime contractor at least three projects of a similar nature and complexity ;
  • A Project Manager (Engineer) with a minimum five years of experience in works of an equivalent nature and volume and must be a qualified member registered by Engineers Board of Kenya ;
  • Registered with the National Construction Authority with a minimum of NCA7 category and with relevant qualifications on similar projects ;
  • Proposed products shall originate from AfDB Member country ;
  • Submission of detailed work Programme ;
  • A mandatory site visit will be conducted at African Development Bank, Khushee, 10 Longonot Road, Upper hill, Nairobi, Kenya on Thursday 21st February, 2019, from 10.00 hours and thereafter a pre-bid meeting.

  1. Submission deadline for this bid is Friday 15 March 2019 at 3.00pm Nairobi local time. Bids shall be deposited at the address indicated in the tender document. Late bids will be rejected and shall be returned unopened.
