Context :
The African Centre of Meteorological Applications for Development (ACMAD), based in Niamey-Niger, has received financing from the African Development Bank through the ClimDev Special Fund to support the cost of the Satellite and Weather Information for Disaster Resilience in Africa (SAWIDRA) project implementation, and intends to use part of the agreed amount of this grant to pay for the contracts of “Consulting Firm for Technical support during the Antenna procurement process and installation for the Regional Advanced Retransmission Service (RARS-AFRICA)”.
The services included under this consultancy are: Provision of technical support during the different steps of the RARS-Africa implementation: design consolidation and test readiness meetings, factory acceptance test during the system build, preparation of on-site acceptance test, data verification and validation and technical monitoring before the warranty phase. The consultancy support is needed for (6) months, tentatively from August 2019.
ACMAD now invites eligible potential firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Firms may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank Group “Procurement Framework” edition October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
