Brief description of the Assignment :

SAP Information Technology Operations Analytics (SAP ITOA) is a software solution that uses SAP big data analytics limited earlier to businesses, to IT operations. With SAP ITOA, an organization can now get a proactive, real-time and comprehensive view of its IT operations, which is beyond the realm of previously available fragmented monitoring-only. With its automation capabilities, SAP ITOA helps companies prepare for outages and disruptions in advance. It is a predictive, holistic, real-and analytic solution that digitally transforms IT Operational centres into an IT Operations CENTER of Excellence.

The Bank acquired a licensed SAP ITOA installation (already done) as part of the SAP conversion project.

In this regard, the Bank would like to seek the engagement of a HANA / ITOA Operations & Development Consultant

The consultant will undertake the following duties :

  • Carry out a health check of the installed ITOA system and give recommendations ;
  • Configure the ITOA system to enable the Bank to reap the benefits ;
  • Set up alert management ;
  • Implement monitoring functions for the Banks data centre hardware including network devices (Both in the HQ, the regional offices and country offices) ;
  • Develop/design various dashboards for monitoring and alerting the system, engineers, network team and ITOC ;
  • Develop reporting dashboards for IT management with capability of providing KPI’s ;
  • Document the configurations and operations of the SAP ITOA system ;
  • Train/ provide knowledge transfer to the various Banks IT teams on operating and monitoring the ITOA system

SAP ITOA CONSULTANT

  1. BACKGROUND

1.1.    African Development Bank Group (AfDB) :

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) is a regional multilateral development finance institution established in 1963 with a mandate to further the economic development and social progress of African countries, individually and collectively.

The Bank has approximately over 2000 staff members, who have been recruited from a wide geographic area only limited by membership in the Bank. There are currently 80 different nationalities from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas represented within the Bank making the institution multicultural in every sense of the word. The Bank has two official languages: English and French. It co-operates with a large network of international development partners.

1.2.    Corporate Information Technology Department (CHIS) :

The strategic objective of the Corporate Information Technology Department (CHIS) at the Bank is to align the IT delivery strategy along with the Bank’s business strategy, to increase the organizational effectiveness through efficient use of the Information Systems (IS). Under the leadership of the Bank’s Information System’s Director, CHIS department is mandated by the Bank to deliver the best possible IT services for Bank staff and help achieve the results that will get the Bank closer to accomplishing its development goals.

  1. OBJECTIVE :

  1. SCOPE OF THE SERVICES :

The consultant will undertake the following duties :

  • Carry out a health check of the installed ITOA system and give recommendations ;
  • Configure the ITOA system to enable the Bank to reap the benefits ;
  • Set up alert management ;
  • Implement monitoring functions for the Banks data centre hardware including network devices (Both in the HQ, the regional offices and country offices) ;
  • Develop/design various dashboards for monitoring and alerting the system, engineers, network team and ITOC ;
  • Develop reporting dashboards for IT management with capability of providing KPI’s ;
  • Document the configurations and operations of the SAP ITOA system ;

  1. DELIVERABLES :

The following is the list of expected deliverables during and at the end of the assignment :

  • Develop ITOA monitoring collectors for SAP and non-SAP systems, data centre and network equipment ;
  • Develop incident reporting dashboards ;
  • ITOA System documentation ;
  • Knowledge transfer to the Banks IT teams

  1. PROFILE OF THE CONSULTANT :
  • Ability to multi-task and to prioritize completing demands, in a fast-paced environment to deliver on time and within budget ;
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience with ITOA ;
  • ITOA dashboards development experience ;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with SAP S4 1809 and HANA version 2.0 (or above) ;
  • 5+ years of SAP technical/BASIS experience on a UNIX/Linux environment ;
  • Hands-on SAP Solution Manager experience ;
  • Certified SAP Basis (on HANA) Administration ;
  • Certified SAP ITOA technical consultant would be an asset ;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French or English is a must ;
  • Excellent presentation skills ;
  • Excellent analytical skills

  1. ASSIGNMENT DURATION :
  • The duration of the assignment is three (03) months ;
  • The commencement date is expected for 15 April 2020.

  1. REPORTING :

The consultant will report to the Principal ERP-SAP systems administrator within the IT department.

  1. LOCATION :

The work can be carried out at Bank’s headquarter at Abidjan, Ivory Coast or remotely (under Bank staff supervision) via Banks secured VPN or other tools to be provided.

  1. REMUNERATION :

The consultant will receive a monthly lump sum rate based on his/her experience. No additional benefits or per diem will be paid. The individual consultant is responsible for his/her own health insurance and own accommodation costs.
