REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
LENDERS’ INSURANCE ADVISOR FOR
THE SAHOFIKA 192 MW HYDRO PROJECT

ENERGY FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS (PESR.2)
- The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : Sahofika Hydro Project – Lenders’ Insurance Advisor (LIA) ;
- The assignment consists in conducting Insurance Due Diligence for the Sahofika Project (192 MW) in Madagascar. More specifically, the LIA will advise Lenders on whether an adequate and sustainable insurance and reinsurance program is in place with respect to the nature and size of the Project including: (i) the power plant and facilities risk coverage, (ii) current international and Madagascar insurance market conditions and regulations, and (iii) analysis, identification, and evaluation of all risks of potential loss or damage which may or may not be insurable. Relevant documents will be in French and English and the LIA must have perfect command of both languages ;
- The Energy Financial Solutions division invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist. - The above-mentioned services are expected to start on 30th October 2019 ;
- Interested Firms may obtain further information at the addresses below during the Bank’s working hours: from 09:00 to 17:00 hours (Abidjan time) ;
- Expressions of interest must be received at the address below no later than, 18th September 2019 at 17h00 local time and specifically mentioning Sahofika Hydro Power Project – Lenders’ Insurance Advisor.
