1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : “Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst”;
2. The Bank intends to engage the services of a senior consultant to serve as Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst. The selected Senior Consultant will manage, create, maintain and support all BI life cycle components managed by BI Team including maintenance and development on OBIEE platform, migration of the identified dashboard to SAP BI Platform, and implementation and assistance for Self-BI services on SAP or Power BI. The consultant will also be involved in the Analysis and Relation with users, and cover all skills ranging from data mining and extraction from different sources (SAP S4Hana, Database format, MS Office format, data warehouse format, etc.), maintenance of corporate data warehouse and DataMart, the development of analytical reports and dashboards and dissemination into a portal for the main used platforms by CHIS BI Team.

The Consultant should understand the source systems (SAP4HANA, SUMMIT, Oracle Database, SQLServer, MySQL and SharePoint), ETL principles for SAP ETL products, Talend, BI database concepts, reporting tools, BI analysis concepts and dashboards.

The consultants’ responsibilities will include mainly the following :

• Assist Business Analyst to collect Requirements ;
• By domain, provide the list of reports to update, create, migrate and archive ;
• Provide knowledge transfer, training and technical documentation to the Bank’s technical staff ;
• Mapping data sources and targets according to the recommended tool (SAP BW4Hana native ETL, SAP Data services, Talend Data Integration or SSIS) ;
• Development of the ETL/ELT ;
• Maintain and enhance BW4Hana as a corporate data warehouse and maintain legacy DataMart ;
• Development mainly under SAP BI TOOLS (SAP Webi, Lumira, Analytics for Office) and maintenance of OBIEE reports ;
• Enable mobile device support as a key point of specific solution ;
• Validate with users that the solution is correct in the target system and the reports and graphs are in line with user expectations and specifications ;
• Create an online user guide for end user if needed ;
• Provide a technical document analysis of the solution with the list of objects, the target data model, data mapping sources and star model, reports and graph description ;
• Provide final report of his mission to be approved by the CHIS Manager ;
• Work closely with BI Team and provide necessary training or assistance

3. Essential skills/Competencies :

• Master’s / Engineering degree in computer science, software development or related business fields and/or equivalent work experience ;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a customer-facing Business Analyst within an IT organization ;
• Strong understanding of BI technologies, trends and tools specially for SAP BW4HANA platform, OBIEE Platform and MSBI platform ;
• Deep Knowledge and skills in data warehousing methodologies, Decision Support and OLAP Technology and Multi-dimensional Data ;
• Knowledge on SAP HANA Data modelling using Attribute, Analytic, Calculation views ;
• Certification on BI skills is a plus ;
• Very good knowledge and experiences in the development of SAP Data services, Talend Data Integration Studio or SSIS ;
• Very good knowledge and experiences in the development with SAPBW4HANA, OBIEE or SQLServer ;
• Very good knowledge and experiences in the development with SAP BI-BO Reporting tools (SAP Webi, SAP Lumira designer and Discoverer 2.0, SAP Analysis for Office), with OBIEE Suite (Administration Tool, OBIEE, APEX, VA) and with MS reporting Tool (PowerBI) ;
• Good knowledge on SAP HANA, Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server Databases ;
• Knowledge to develop data flow and workflow in SAP BODS and import files into HANA tables using SAP Data Services, SAP SLT, Smart Data Access (SDA) and SAP Information Steward ;
• Experience on SAP Fiori is a plus ;
• Good knowledge of web principle and technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus ;
• Programming experience with ABAP Objects in SAP BW4 and HANA SQL is desirable.

4. The Corporate Information Technology Services Department (CHIS) invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (CV, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;
5. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedures shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist ;
6. The estimated duration of services is twelve (12) months and the estimated starting date is 15 February 2020 ;

8. Expressions of interest must be received by email at the address below no later than Thursday, 16 January 2020 at 17:00 hours, Abidjan local time and specifically mentioning “Senior Business Intelligence Analyst”.

9. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SHORT LIST :

A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume.
