- The Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN) has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the cost of the Namibia Water Sector Support Program. It intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan/grant to payments under the contract to provide consultancy services for Gender Audit, Mainstreaming at Local and National Level ;
Scopes of the services :
- The consultant is expected to support the program and promote National Gender and Policy Dialogue work-stream activities, directed towards efforts to promote gender equality, economic empowerment, and participation in water and sanitation sector activities during the project preparation and implementation phases. The overarching aim is to ensure principles that foster gender equality and women’s empowerment are systematically infused and entrenched in all aspects of the program activities. The detailed scope of services is outlined in the Terms of Reference.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform (MAWLR) now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. In submitting Expression of Interest, consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required and relevant experience to perform the services. Interested consultants must provide information (cover letters, curriculum vita, copies of academic and professional, description/ evidence of similar completed projects by consultant (s), experience in similar project authorities, evidence of work in similar geographical areas, availability of appropriate skills indicating that they are qualified to perform the service).
- Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list, and the selection procedure shall follow the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework for Group Funded Operational, October 2015 edition, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. In accordance with the Bank Procurement Selection Method for selection of Individual Consultants will be used for this consultancy service ;
- Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address given below during office hours between 08:00 hours to 12:00 hours and 14:00 hours to 17:00 hour’s (local time) from Monday to Friday, before the deadline set for submission.
Sealed expressions of interest must be submitted by e- email or physical submission to the address below on or before the 19 April 2022 at 11:00hrs local time and marked “Expression of Interest for Consultancy Gender audit, Mainstreaming at Local and National level” for Namibia Water Sector Support Program”.
