- The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the cost of the Development of Manzini Golf Course Interchange Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for the Consultancy Services for Sensitization of Communities on HIV & AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIS), Gender Empowerment, and Road Safety Awareness ;
- The services included under this project are (i) to integrate HIV/AIDS, STIs prevention and gender mainstreaming around the road project through enhancing capacity of the local communities to address HIV/AIDS, STIs issues and gender empowerment; (ii) to sensitize the road users on road safety awareness and conducting education campaigns which will target children, pedestrians and public transport operators in particular to address avoidance of road crashes and the safe use of the road; and (iii) to ensure that the local communities are safeguarded from being susceptible to HIV/AIDS and STI, gender-based abuses and road accidents as a result of the road project ;
- The Roads Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport now invites eligible consults to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification ;
- Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Framework for Bank Group-Funded Operations Consultants” dated 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org ;
- Interested consultants may obtain further information and detailed Terms of Reference at the address below during office hours from 08:00 to 16:45 Hrs (Eswatini time), Monday to Friday exclusive of Public Holidays.
