SOMALILAND : FEASIBILITY STUDY OF UPGRADING 183-KM HARGEISA-ODWEINE-BURAO ROAD PROJECT
GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
- The Ministry of Transport and Road Development, Somaliland has received a grant from the NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) to part-finance the Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and ESIA/RAP and Tender Documents of upgrading 183-km Hargesia- Odweine Burao road project, in addition to the savings provided by the African Development Fund (ADF) from a previous grant to Lawyaddo – Borama project . The recipient of the grants is the Government of Somalia whilst the African Development Bank Group will act as the administrator of the grants ;
- The principal objective of this Study is to undertake a full feasibility study, Preliminary and Detailed Engineering Design and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and preparation of tender documents for the Upgrading of 183-Km Hargeisa-Odweine-Burao Road from Gravel to Bitumen Standard ;
- The procurement mode for the Consultancy Services shall be Quality-cum-Cost Based Selection (QCBS) in accordance with the Bank’s Procurement Policy and Framework, Dated October 2015 ;
- The project will be implemented over a period of 18 months ;
