- This This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in United Nations Development Business (UNDB online) AfDB254–04/15 of 17th April 2015 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website (http://www.afdb.org).
- The Government of the Republic of Zambia has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of the Chinsali – Nakonde Road Rehabilitation Project (North – South Corridor). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied towards the rehabilitation of 50km of feeder roads off T2 to an all-weather gravel standard road ;
- The Road Development Agency (RDA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Rehabilitation works of 50km Feeder Roads off T2 to an all-weather Gravel Standard Road in Chinsali, Isoka and Nakonde Districts of Muchinga Province as follows :

- A complete set of bidding documents for each Lot may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of K1,000.00 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency for each set, payable by Banker’s Cheque, Banker’s Draft or Cash to the Road Development Agency (RDA), P.O. Box 50003, Lusaka, Zambia ;
- Site visits will take place on 9th, 10th and 11th of June 2021 in Lot 1, Lot 3 and Lot 2 respectively. Bidders interested in the site visit should assemble at the Road Development Agency Regional Office in Chinsali District, at 08:00 hours local time on each day. Pre-bid meetings will be held after each site visit at the Regional Office at 15:00 hours local time ;
- The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Zambia Public Procurement Authority standard bidding documents for Open National Bidding, modified to conform to the African Development Bank’s rules and procedures under the Loan Agreement ;
- Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10:30 hours local time on Friday, 2nd July 2021 and must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration ;
- Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:30 hours local time on Friday, 2nd July 2021 in the Conference Room at the Road Development Agency Headquarters as per the address below :
