GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE (GPN)
- The Arab Republic of Egypt has received of Euro 1000,000 as grant from the African Development Fund to finance the Integrated Rural Sanitation in Upper Egypt (IRSUE-LUXOR) ;
- The principal objectives of this program are to provide integrated sanitation systems for villages “Clusters” by collecting and treating wastewater generated in rural areas in Upper Egypt (Luxor), thus contributing to increase coverage of improved sanitation and a clean environment for the population living there ;
- The program includes three (3) main components :
- Development of a sewerage network connecting households to centralized system ;
- Construction of pumping stations according to geography and population locations ;
- Construction of two wastewater treatment plan to connect at least 22,000 households Component 2: Improved operational system and practices of LWWC; and Key Activities ;
- Enhance technical, environmental, and financial and social sustainability of intervention ;
- Design and Validate PIAP
Component 3: Strengthening the National Sector Institutional Framework. which will be implemented under the RWSSI TF resources, and the key procurement activities are as follows :
- Recruitment of 4 technical assistant (i) a RAWSSI coordinator, (ii) M&E expert (iii) Citizen engagement, gender, and inclusive growth expert, and (iv) Procurement / contract management ;
- Reasibility studies for selected Governorates in Upper Egypt ;
- Design gender and social outreach program for LWWC ;
- Capacity Building of the LWWC staff on procurement, establishment of integrated IT system linking budget to procurement & Assessment of the existing complain system ;
- Training of selected governorates in Upper Egypt on Citizen Engagement & , M&E.
- Procurement of goods & consultants Services will be in accordance with the Bank’s Procurement Policy Framework, dated October 2015 and following provisions stipulated in the financing agreement ;
- Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will not be required for the contracts under this program ;
