REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR CONSULTANCY
SERVICES : TECHNICAL AUDIT FOR
KENOL – SAGANA – MARUA HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
TENDER NO KeNHA/2264/2020
- This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in United Nations Development Business No. AfDB1367-10/19 and African Development Bank (AfDB) internet website on 8th October, 2019 ;
- The Government of the Republic of Kenya has applied for financing from the African Development Bank (ADB) to finance the Kenol – Sagana – Marua Highway Improvement Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for this loan to make eligible payments under the contract for the Consultancy Services for Technical Audit ;
- The Services include; (i) ensuring technical compliance of works performed by the contractor and the construction supervision consultant (CSC).(ii) assessing, evaluating and providing a factual report on the effectiveness of the processes and procedures in use during implementation (iii) identifying implementation constraints or shortcomings and propose recommendations to improve existing arrangements (iv) reviewing the design and propose any optimization/recommendation to the CSC which will help to maximize the benefits and impact of the Project ;
- The Kenya National Highways Authority, herein referred to as the Client, being an authorized agent of the Government of the Republic of Kenya, now invites eligible Consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the above services ;
- Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments in similar conditions and Availability of the appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications ;
- Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short–list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s ‘procurement policy for Bank Group Funded Operations’ – August, 2015, which is available in the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. Borrowers are under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest ;
- The Expression of Interest enclosed in plain Packages and clearly marked with the Tender Number and description, sealed and transmitted by courier or delivered by hand to the Address below or deposited at the Authority’s Tender Box Located at Block C, 2nd Floor, Barabara Complex so at to be received not later than 1000Hrs local time on Thursday, 30th April, 2020.
