TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF ICT FACILITIES AT THE MWAMI/MCHINJI ONE STOP BORDER POST – RDA/GS/ICB/001/021

SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

INVITATION FOR BIDS

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on 15th March 2012 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website ;

2. The Government of the Republic of Zambia has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Nacala Road Development Project Phase IV. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the Works Contract for the Construction of the Mwami/Mchinji One Stop Border Post (OSBP): Works Package 2: Zambia OSBP ICT Facilities ;

3. The Road Development Agency (RDA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of ICT facilities at Mwami Border under the following Lots :

• Lot 1 – Structured Cabling, Wireless Access Points, Fiber Optic and Accessories, Voice Evacuation System and background music control and, ICT and Electronic training ;
• Lot 2 – IP Video Surveillance System  (CCTV), CCTV Camera Installation, IP Based Access Control System ;
• Lot 3 – IP PBX System; and
• Lot 4 – Electrical Fencing and Fire Detection and Suppression System.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of :

5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K1,000.00 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, payable by Banker’s Cheque, Banker’s Draft or Cash to the Road Development Agency (RDA), P.O. Box 50003, Lusaka, Zambia ;

6. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Procedures specified in the Bank’s Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works (May 2008 Edition Revised July 2012) and utilizing the provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines ;

7. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 14:30 hours local time on Friday, 15^th April 2022 and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form specified in the Bidding Forms and in the amount of Lot 1 – US$8,000, Lot 2 – US$10,000, Lot 3 – US$1,000, Lot 4 – US$3,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency and issued by a Registered Commercial Bank or a financial institution. A Site Visit will take place on 24^th March, 2022 at Mwami Border Post at 09:00hrs. A Pre-bid meeting shall be held after the site visit at Mwami Border Post ;

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:30 hours local time on Friday, 15^th April, 2022 at the offices of Road Development Agency Conference Room in Lusaka Province of Zambia.
