- The Kingdom of Eswatini has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank towards the cost of the Ezulwini Water Supply and Sanitation Delivery Services Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the completion of the construction of a potable water storage reservoir, gravity pipeline, water kiosks and ancillary works. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method as defined in the Bank’s Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing ;
- The Eswatini Water Services Corporation now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders.
Description of Works
Construction Duration :
- Potable water storage reservoir: 15ML circular post tensioned concrete reservoir at Ezulwini
- Completion of treated water gravity mains (640m of DN 500 Ductile Iron Pipes of which 960m has already been laid. Total length of pipeline is 1.6km)
- Alterations to the existing Ezulwini network
- Access road to reservoir
- Break pressure tank (100m3) and pressure reducing valves
Construction Period: 9 months
Defects Notification Period: 12 months
- Bidders wishing to offer discounts will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid ;
- Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures Bank’s Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works ;
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Eswatini Water Services Corporation, attention Procurement Manager by email at procurement@swsc.co.sz and inspect the Bidding document during office hours – 09h00 to 16h30 hours (Eswatini Time) – at the address given below ;
- The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One Thousand Five Hundred Emalangeni Only (SZL1 500.00). The method of payment will be by bank transfer to Account Name – Eswatini Water Services Corporation, Bank Name – Standard Bank, Account No – 9110000596666, Branch Name – Mbabane, Branch Code – 663164, SWIFT CODE – SBIC SZ MX. The Bidding Document will be sent by electronic means ;
- Bids must be hand delivered and deposited in a designated tender box to the address below on or before 12 noon 20 August 2021 Eswatini time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 20 August 2021 at 12.05pm Eswatini time ;
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Two Million Emalangeni (SZL2 000 000) or the equivalent in freely convertible currencies ;
