1. The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Climate Insurance, Finance and Resilience Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of 20 Multifunctional Solar-powered Boreholes and Infrastructure in the Provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane ;
2. The Instituto Nacional de Gestão e Redução do Risco de Desastres (INGD) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of 20 Multifunctional Solar-powered Boreholes and Infrastructure in the Provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane, within a period of 24 months ;
3. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding-National (OCBN) procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework for Bank group Funded Operations dated 2015 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework ;
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Instituto Nacional de Gestão e Redução do Risco de Desastres (INGD), Raimo Baraca, e-mail: baraca.raimo@gmail.com and inspect the bidding document during office hours 07:30 to 15:30 hours at the address given below;
5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 2000 Meticals. The method of payment will be direct deposit in Bank Account 576569 BIM-– NIB 000 100 000 000 057 565 957 = Instituto Nacional de Gestão e Redução do Risco de Desastres (INGD). The document will be sent by e-mail ;
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 31 May 2022 at 10: 00 hours. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 31 May 2022 at 10:00 hours ;
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MZN 3,971, 766.96 or USD 63,043.92 ;
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document ;
