We looking for a Workshop Supervisor M/F  based : Kenya

 

Job Description :

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for the supervision of the technicians in the delivery of service, to ensure quality and timely delivery of service to customers, within the Anzen guidelines and performance standards

 

Main Responsibilities of the Job

Managerial/Supervisory

  •         Coordinate the operations of the workshop to ensure delivery of timely and quality service to customers in an efficient and effective manner;
  •         Monitor the performance of the workshop in order to address performance gaps identified in a timely manner;
  •         Coordinate quality control inspections to ensure all faults are identified before delivery to customers in order to avoid repeat jobs and customer complaints;
  •         Coordinate compliance with the DT Dobie Anzen standards and guidelines to avoid unwarranted injuries, and for compliance with the relevant policies and procedures;
  •         Apply KAIZEN within his work environment in order to improve quality and efficiency.

Operational Responsibilities

  •         Allocate work to technicians to ensure vehicle service is done by qualified technicians depending on complexity:
  •         Conduct timely system job costing and tasks confirmation to avoid delays in invoicing job cards at the reception;
  •         Monitor work in progress and provide assistance to team leaders where required to ensure timely and quality service to customers;
  •         Checking quotations for parts and adding labour times according to manufacturer flat rates.
  •         Communicate quotations to service advisors in timely manner to be send to the customers.
  •         Apply 5s principle in their work environment.
  •         Update the management on requirements for workshop tools and special tools.
  •         Supervise the cleaning and orderliness of the workshop to ensure full compliance with the Anzen guidelines, the safety of customer vehicles, and to give customers confidence on the quality of service provided;
  •         Attend to customer complaints in a timely manner to minimise customer dissatisfaction and to improve customer retention rates;
  •         Maintain all workshop equipment, and monitor use by technicians to ensure the equipment are in good working condition at all times for minimal disruption to workshop operations;
  •         Understand and apply KAIZEN within his work environment.
  •         Support his team with the diagnosis of complex repairs/service to ensure customers are provided with high quality service, and to pass on experience and knowledge to the team;
  •         Support the reception team with on-site advice to customers on issues of concern to ensure customers are assured of quality service within agreeable timelines.
  •         Helping service advisor to respond to and handle customers’ complaints promptly to avert misunderstandings and the risk of losing customers;
  •         Working in accordance to DT Dobie QHSE policies and guidelines.

Profil Request :

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Minimum Level of Academic and Professional Qualification Required to Perform Effectively in the Role

  1. a)      Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent
  2. b)      Certified Master Technician

Minimum Level of Experience Required to Perform Effectively in the Role

6 years relevant working experience with 3 years at a Supervisory level in an organisation of similar size of operations
