1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: Technical expert to support the implementation of the Africa Circular Economy Facility (ACEF) ;

2. The services to be provided under the Assignment will be geared toward the implementation of the Africa Circular Economy Facility (ACEF)’s work programme, a multi-donor trust fund to be hosted by the Bank. Responsibilities will include designing technical assistance projects and supporting their implementation, liaising with partners and fund recipients, monitoring progress and reporting to the ACEF Coordinator in the department of climate change & green growth ;

3. The Department of Climate Change & Green Growth (PECG) invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (documents, reference to similar services, experience ;

4. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Rules and Procedure for the Use of Consultants under projects financed by the Bank Group, May 2008 Edition, revised on July 2012, available on the Bank Website at http://www.afdb.org. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist ;

5. The estimated duration of services is six-months renewable, and the estimated starting date is 10 December 2021 ;

6. Interested Individual Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours: 08:00-17:00 GMT ;

7. Expressions of interest must be received at the address below no later than 3 December 2021 at 17:00 local time and specifically mentioning “EOI: Technical expert for the implementation of the Africa Circular Economy Facility”.

Establishment of the Shortlist :

A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end of the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume :
