Description :

The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Kazungula Bridge Project – Package 4, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan, to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the Construction Supervision of the Rehabilitation of T001, section between Chikankata Turn-off and Mazabuka (33.5km) – Lot 2.

The primary objective of this consultancy services is to carry out the supervision of the rehabilitation of 33.5km of T1, section between Chikankata Turn-off and Mazabuka. The consultant will provide technical and financial supervision, and contract management in order to ensure that the construction works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications and to the satisfaction of the implementing agency.

The Road Development Agency now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” [May 2008 Edition revised in July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
