The Malawi Government has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the feasibility study, detailed engineering design, and preparation of bidding documents of the rehabilitation of the Mangochi – Chiponde (M3) road, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for feasibility study, detailed engineering design, and preparation of bidding documents of the rehabilitation of the Mangochi – Chiponde (M3) road.

The services included under this project are Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design for the Rehabilitation of Mangochi-Chiponde 53km Road Project.

The services included under this project are:

• Feasibility study ;
• Detailed engineering design ;
• Preparation of bidding documents ;
• The assignment is expected to be completed with 46 weeks of the date of commencement.

The Roads Authority (RA) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” 2016, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours 0800 to 1600 Hours local time from 8th October, 2019.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 23rd October 2019 at 16:00 hours and mention “feasibility study, detailed engineering design, and preparation of bidding documents of the rehabilitation of the Mangochi – Chiponde (M3) road”.
