The Government of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a Loan from African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the cost of Capacity Building Program of the Marketing & Business Development Office of EEP, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for the Assessment of current situation & preparation of standard working procedures & operational tools for MBD Office of EEP as a Consultancy Services.
The services included under this Consultancy service are :
- Develop an integrated market research and business development framework with detailed analysis, established strategies and required implementation tools ;
- Develop standard working procedures and operational tools ; III.Provide competence training ;
- Developing standard commercial off-the-shelf soft tools ;
- Define and deliver organizational structure, job description, carrier path, training requirements, etc., of EEP MBD Department.
The Consulting firm are required to have experience in feasibility studies preparation in similar activities either alone or in association with local consulting firms capable and experienced to carry out investigation in similar areas. The consulting firm in this EOI application is required only to show its commitment to this requirement.
The Consulting firm may participate according to his experience and capacity to finalize the required feasibility studies within estimated 12 months.
The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP), Executing Agency, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants”, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by March 19, 2019 before 3:00 pm with a title “Studies for Capacity Building Program of the Marketing & Business Development Office of EEP”.
