LIFE PROJECT 4 YOUTH :

LP4Y is a federation of 17 local organizations in 14 countries whose aim is the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social inclusion of young people (17-24 yo) coming from extreme poverty and victims of exclusion.

Over the past 17 years, LP4Y has created solutions, always close to slum areas in large cities or in rural areas in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Egypt and Lebanon working closely with the young adults who are contributing to the development of their country and community.

Since 2009, LP4Y has supported the inclusion of 10,000 young adults, and their families, into the professional world.

They have been accompanied thanks to 17 Training and Development Centers, 4 Green Villages, 4 Little Angel Academies, and 2 LP4Y Labs in South East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

all initiatives in favor of young adults in danger by sharing the expertise acquired, counseling, creating Youth inclusion networks, and offering services and training.

The Program Manager leads the implementation and continuous development of the Community Center for Youth Inclusion in Chennai. The role ensures high-quality professional integration programs while coordinating partnerships, community activities, and the daily operations of the center. The Program Manager ensures that the Community Center for Youth Inclusion becomes a dynamic, high-quality community hub where excluded Youth can access opportunities, develop skills, build confidence, and strengthen their pathways toward sustainable social and professional integration, while fostering strong collaboration with partners and the wider community.

Working closely with the Country Coordinator and local team (Integration and Mobilization Leader), the Program Manager contributes to developing an innovative, community-based model that expands opportunities for excluded Youth through partnerships, training, and community engagement.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Lead the implementation and daily coordination of the Community Center for Youth Inclusion in Chennai, India.
  • Ensure the quality and continuous improvement of all Youth programs and community activities.
  • Coordinate and support the project team, promoting collaboration and ownership.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with NGOs, companies, institutions, and community stakeholders.
  • Organize community events, trainings, and activities that promote Youth inclusion.
  • Monitor project objectives, KPIs, budgets, and reporting.
  • Represent LP4Y and the Community Center with partners and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with LP4Y methodology, safeguarding standards, and project procedures.

Expériences / Formation :

The minimum duration of this mission is 13 months (renewable). It will appeal to candidates who are ready to learn and passionate about intercultural cooperation and have already acquired previous professional experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, International Development, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Background in project or program management, including working with partnerships and multiple stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously while effectively coordinating diverse teams.

Fluent English is required.

VSI – Volontariat de Solidarité Internationale Contract, LP4Y is accredited by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs
