Responsibilities
- Lead Hydropower design and studies ranging from prefeasibility studies to detailed designs.
- Review hydropower and dam designs and costing.
- Review hydropower energy yield calculations.
- Business Development for hydropower and dams.
- Lead digital innovations within the hydropower and dams space to make the delivery of projects more efficient.
- Project management of dams and hydropower projects.
- Integrate and collaborate with other business units within the company to enable the implementation of hydropower and dams projects.
- Travel to site and clients throughout Sub-Saharan Africa as required.
Minimum requirements
- MSc (Preferred) /BSc or MEng (Preferred) /BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Hydropower Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) with ECSA (Required).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
