CURE International is a non-profit Christian organization passionate about the physical and spiritual healing of children with disabilities in developing countries and which has been established in Niger since 2010, with the aim of contributing to the country.
CURE’s core mission is to transform the lives of children with disabilities and their families around the world by providing physical and spiritual healing. Other services that CURE provides in its hospitals are medical training and advocacy for children with disabilities.
The main objective of CURE is to provide quality surgical care to children affected by severe orthopedic problems or various other disabilities (sequelae of burns, cleft lip and palate).
Thus, for the implementation of its activities in Niger, CURE Children’s Hospital in Niger is seeking to recruit:
Anesthesist Technicians (2)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of standard anesthesia concepts and procedures.
Knowledge of common hazards and precautions for a safe working environment. Manage patient records. Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Have a keen interest in teaching and training. Ability to perform duties in a confidential manner.
The anesthetist provider must be able to provide pre-, per- and post-operative care .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.Perform anesthesia assessment , adaptation of medications in collaboration with physicians and surgeons.
2. Choose the safe anesthesia type for the patients .
3. Inform the patient about the type of anesthesia planned and any associated risks. Answer the patient’s questions and have a consent from the patients or member of family.
4. Provide general and loco-regional anesthesia , monitoring and recognition and treatment of the eventual complications.
5. Fill all the documents required.
6. Be able to manage the postoperative pain.
7. Clear verbal report to the PACU team who will take over the early postoperative and recovering care.
8. Clear communication with other team members.
9. Work under the direction of an anesthetist and assume the duties of the anesthetist (as outlined in the anesthetist’s job description) when the anesthetist is not available.
10. Perform any other duties as required by the hospital.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Training: Diploma (BAC+3) in anesthesia from a qualified and recognized institution.
Experience: Two years’ experience in a private or public hospital. Proven track record in underdeveloped countries preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must have knowledge of comprehensive pain management general and loco-regional anesthesia care.
- Knowledge of anesthesia drugs and their site effects.
- Knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring equipment .
- Skilled in basic life support.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Willingness and ability to function as a member of the medical team.
