DEVELOPMENT OF THE AfDB NATURAL RESOURCES STRATEGY (NARS) FOR 2023 – 2027

  1. The African Natural Resources Centre (ANRC) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) hereby invites single firms as well as consortia of firms to express their interest in the following  Assignment : Consultancy Services for the “Development of the AfDB Group’s Natural Resources Strategy (NARS) for 2023-2027” ;
  1. The services to be provided under the Assignment are :
  • The AfDB is currently developing a new strategy to guide its interventions in the natural resources sector. The new strategy will be developed for approval in 2022, to be implemented from Q1 2023 until 2027 ;
  • Under the oversight of the ANRC, the firm/consortia of firms recruited will develop the NARS 2023-2027 to guide the AfDB’s operations, and the ANRC’s interventions, in the natural resources sectors.
  1. The ANRC invites single firms as well as consortia of firms to express their interest in developing the NARS 2023-2027. Interested firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake the Assignment (documents, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;
  1. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the AfDB’s Procurement Policy for Recruitment of Corporate Consultants, available on the Bank’s Website at https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/resources-for-borrowers/policies-procedures ;
  1. Please note that interest expressed by a consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include the consultant in the shortlist ;
  1. The estimated duration of the Consulting Services is 6 calendar months and the estimated starting date is May 2022.
