PROVISION OF TECHNICAL INSPECTION AGENCY IN THE DESIGN AND SUPERVISION

OF THE NEW OFFICE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR THE SIERRA LEONE REPRESENTATION OFFICE (COSL) OF THE AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK

 

  1. The African Development Bank is in the process of the new office construction project for the Sierra Leone Representation Office ;
  1. As a result of the relocation, the Bank invites Technical inspection firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : The provision of a technical inspection agency services in the supervision of the diagnosis, the design and the control of the implementation of the project to build the new Sierra Leone Representation office ;
  1. The services to be provided under the Assignment include the following missions both design and implementation phases: (i) the structural strength in relation to the neighboring building (ii) the strength of the building (iii) fire safety (iv) Thermal (v) acoustics (vi) handicapped accessibility electricity (viii) plumbing (ix) ventilating and distribution of the air conditioning (x) operation of the technical lots ;
  1. The services to be provided under the Assignment include: (i) an initial technical control report (ii) advice in all design methodologies and plan provided by the architects (architectural and technical) (iii) advice on the project execution plan (architectural and technical) (iv) a final technical control report ;
  1. The General Services and Procurement Department (CHGS), acting through the Operations and Maintenance Division (CHGS.1), invites technical inspection firm to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall, in no more than eight (8) pages, provide information on their qualifications and experience, demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable assignments, availability of qualified staff and a summary of the key staff that will work on the project, etc.). Firms are NOT to attach marketing brochures ;
  1. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure budget. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist. The Bank will also not be required to give reasons for the rejection of any consulting firm ;
  1. The estimated duration of the services is forty months, inclusive of 12 months Defects Liability Period and the estimated starting date is 28th February 2022 ;
  2. Expressions of interest must be received by email at the address below no later than Monday 3rd January 2022, at 16:00hrs (Sierra Leone time) and specifically mentioning the subject title You are to submit the Expression of Interest via email, to the attention of the following :
