PROVISION OF ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES IN THE DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF THE NEW OFFICE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR THE SIERRA LEONE REPRESENTATION
OFFICE (COSL) OF THE AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK
- The African Development Bank is in the process of the new office construction project for the Sierra Leone Representation Office ;
- As a result of the relocation, the Bank invites Architectural Engineering Firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : The provision of architectural and engineering services in the diagnosis, the design and supervision of the project to build the new Sierra Leone Representation office ;
- The services to be provided under the Assignment include: (i) the demolition methodology of the existing building (ii) the geotechnical report (iii) the preliminary design, the detailed design as well as the tender for the project. This includes: the production of architectural drawings for the project including the details at all levels and the plans of all technical lots (plumbing, electricity, ventilation, fire safety, handicapped accessibility, thermal and acoustic performance report) and all the lots related to the construction project.( iv) Preparation of detailed designs and Bill of Quantities for the new office layout, (v) Assistance in bid evaluation and procurement of works contract and (vi) Supervision of the fit-out works and rectification of defects during a one year defects liability period ;
- The services to be provided under the Assignment include: (i) Technical assessment of proposed new office premises and provision of an “As-Is” condition report (ii) Production of architectural drawings for the new offices, showing all existing facilities and services (iii) Preparation of detailed designs and Bill of Quantities for the new office layout, (iv) Assistance in bid evaluation and procurement of works contract and (v) Supervision of the fit-out works and rectification of defects during a one year defects liability period ;
- The General Services and Procurement Department (CHGS), acting through the Operations and Maintenance Division (CHGS.1), invites Architectural Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall, in no more than eight (8) pages, provide information on their qualifications and experience, demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable assignments, availability of qualified staff and a summary of the key staff that will work on the project, etc.). Firms are NOT to attach marketing brochures ;
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure budget. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist. The Bank will also not be required to give reasons for the rejection of any consulting firm ;
- The estimated duration of the services is forty months, inclusive of 12 months Defects Liability Period and the estimated starting date is 4th February 2022.
- Expressions of interest must be received by email at the address below no later than Wednesday 23th December 2021, at 16:00hrs (Sierra Leone time) and specifically mentioning the subject title above.
