REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

CONSULTING SERVICES FOR TRAINING 12 COMMUNITIES IN THE DISTRICTS OF MATUTUINE, MAGUDE , CHIBUTO AND CHUGUBO

The Government of the Republic of Mozambique has received Grant from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Drought Recovery and Agriculture Resilient Project (DRARP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Grant for payments under a contract for consultancy services for provision of training for 12 communities located in the districts of Chibuto, Chigubo, Matutuine and Magude in Maputo and Gaza Provinces.

The services included under this project and to be implemented over a period of Three (3) months are :

  1. Training of selected beneficiaries/communities on their chosen enterprises ;
  2. Training communities in fire prevention techniques ;
  3. Training of trainers on orange flesh sweet potatoes for improved nutrition and income generation ;
  4. Training of Executing on nutrition sensitive extension ;
  5. Training of trainers on improved infant and young child feeding including complementary feeding using local available foods ;
  6. Training of rural men and women on processing and utilization of nutritious traditional foods ;
  7. Training of rural men and women on conservation techniques ;
  8. Training of rural men and women on business management; and
  9. Training of men and women on personal hygiene.

The Instituto Nacional for Disaster Management (INGD), now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Framework” dated 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org .

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below in hardcopy or on electronic format by September 04th 2021, at 14:00 hours and mention “CONSULTING SERVICES FOR TRAINING 12 COMMUNITIES”.
