FHI 360, an American non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of accountant based in the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region of Morocco. The accountant will support a planned USAID-funded project to promote the socioeconomic inclusion of marginalized groups in Morocco by improving and institutionalizing participatory governance, business opportunities, and livelihoods.

Description of the position :

Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the accountant will have the following responsibilities :

• Coordinate accounting operations, including overall financial monitoring and support ;
• Guides project activities in the financial and operational areas to ensure the financial well-being of the organization ;
• Provides financial management and advice, conducts financial data analysis ;
• Provides budget analysis for project funds ;
• Document financial transactions by entering account information ;
• Recommends financial measures when analyzing accounting options ;
• Prepares monthly financial reports, including the preparation and compilation of supporting documents ;
• Secures financial information by completing database backups ;
• Maintains financial security by monitoring internal controls ;
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements ;
• Answers questions on accounting procedures by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations ;
• Complies with legal requirements by reviewing legislation, enforcing compliance and advising management on actions to be taken ;
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends ;
• Assists technical staff in monitoring grant program budgets in accordance with the approved work plan activities of each grant ;
• Assumes responsibility for the financial aspects of local procurement, including payment processing, financial tracking, monitoring, etc., in accordance with project financial procedures ;
• Reviews and analyzes supplier and subcontractor coupons for accuracy and compliance with client and FHI 360 invoicing requirements ;
• Processes supplier and sub-contractor payment requests.

Education and qualifications required :

• Degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience ;
• Minimum of three to five years experience in financial management ;
• Experience with accounting software highly desirable ;
• Attention to detail and general math skills ;
• Knowledge of U.S. government standards for grants, procurement and auditing ;
• Fluency in French and Arabic and a good knowledge of written and spoken English required.

FHI 360, une organisation américaine sans but lucratif, recherche des candidats qualifiés pour le poste de comptable basé dans la région de Beni Mellal-Khénifra au Maroc. Le comptable soutiendra un projet prévu financé par l’USAID pour promouvoir l’inclusion socio-économique des groupes marginalisés au Maroc en améliorant et en institutionalisant la gouvernance participative, les opportunités commerciales et les moyens de subsistance.

Description de la position :

Sous la supervision du Finance Manager, le comptable endossera les responsabilités suivantes :

• Coordonne les opérations comptables, y compris le suivi financier global et le soutien ;
• Oriente des activités du projet dans les domaines financier et opérationnel, afin d’assurer le bien-être financier de l’organisation ;
• Assure la gestion financière et les conseils, effectue des analyses des données financières ;
• Fournit des analyses budgétaires pour les fonds du projet ;
• Documenter les transactions financières en entrant des informations de compte ;
• Recommande des mesures financières lors de l’analyse les options comptables ;
• Prépare les rapports financiers mensuels, y compris la préparation et la compilation des pièces justificatives ;
• Sécurise les informations financières en complétant les sauvegardes de bases de données ;
• Maintient la sécurité financière en suivant les contrôles internes ;
• Prépare les paiements en vérifiant la documentation et en demandant des décaissements ;
• Répond aux questions de la procédure comptable en faisant des recherches et en interprétant les politiques et règlements comptables ;
• Se conforme aux exigences juridiques en étudiant les lois, en appliquant le respect des exigences et en conseillant la direction sur les mesures à prendre ;
• Prépare des rapports financiers spéciaux en recueillant, en analysant et en résumant les informations et les tendances du compte ;
• Aide le personnel technique à surveiller les budgets du programme des subventions conformément aux activités du plan de travail approuvé de chaque subvention ;
• Assume la responsabilité des aspects financiers des achats locaux, notamment le traitement des paiements, le suivi financier, le suivi, etc. conformément aux procédures financières du projet ;
• Examine et analyse les coupons des fournisseurs et des sous-traitants pour en vérifier l’exactitude et la conformité aux exigences de facturation du client et de FHI 360 ;
• Traite les demandes de paiement des fournisseurs et des sous-commandes.

Education et qualifications requises :

• Diplôme en comptabilité, finance ou autre domaine pertinent, ou combinaison équivalente d’études et d’expérience professionnelle ;
• Minimum de trois a cinq d’expérience en gestion financière ;
• Expérience avec des logiciels de comptabilité fortement souhaitée ;
• Attention aux détails et compétences générales en mathématiques ;
• Connaissance des normes du gouvernement américain en matière de subventions, de passation de marchés et d’audit ;
• Maîtrise du français et de l’arabe et une bonne connaissance de l’anglais écrit et parlé requise.
