The Republic of The Gambia has received Grant financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Trans-Gambia Corridor Trade Infrastructure & Special Economic Zone (/SEZ) and intends to apply part of this grant to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services.
The services being sought in this procurement are :
- carry out an economic impact assessment of the Trans-Gambia Corridor (TGC), and its anchor project: the Sene-Gambia Bridge, as key enablers, for sustainable Special Economic Zone (SEZ), with potential spin-offs for the national, and the local economies within and outside of the TGC corridor ;
- Prepare GIS-based land-use Spatial Masterplan, for the effective management and development of the TGC corridor ;
- Prepare Corridor Development Investment Plan (CDIP), to attract investments, in order to boost inclusive growth, trade and regional integration for Gambia, and the sub region.
The Government of The Gambia (GOTG), through its Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment and National Roads Authority (NRA) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (i) information detailing the company’s existence and areas of expertise (ii) General experience of the firm in relation to the assignment (iii) list of similar assignments and experience in similar conditions, (iv) list of overall appropriate permanent and temporary staff in fields related to the assignment and (v) any other relevant information. Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” (May 2008 Edition, Revised July 2012) which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
