INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE SUPPLY OF VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLES

  1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in three Local Newspapers, the UNDB online and the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website on 9th September, 2019 ;
  2. The Government of Sierra Leone has received A Grant from the African Development Fund (ADF) in various currencies towards the cost of the Sierra Leone Agribusiness Rice Value Chain Support Project (SLARIS). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this Grant will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the supply of vehicles and Motorcycles for Project Implementing Partners (IPs), MAF and Project Management Unit ;
  3. The Sierra Leone Agribusiness and Rice value Chain Support Project (SLARiS) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the items listed below:

14WD Station Wagon01120 Days
24WD Double Cab Pick-up Van06120 Days
32WD 5 ton Delivery Van03120 Days
4Agricultural Type Motorcycles05120 Days

Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures in accordance with the Procurement Policies and Methodology for Bank Group funded Operations dated October 2015, as amended from time to time.

  1. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents between 9:00 hours and 16:00 hours week days at the office of the Procurement Specialist, Sierra Leone Agribusiness Value Chain Support Project (SLARIS), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 1st Floor, West Wing, Youyi Building, Brookfield, Freetown.

  1. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US100 or SLL800, 000.00. Payment shall be made by Cash, Cashier’s Cheque or by telegraphic transfer into Account No: 17-01-1774149 BBAN NO. 0020010171774149901, Swift Code : RCBKSLFR ;
  2. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document : Procurement of Goods. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12.00 hours on Monday 10th August 2020 and must be accompanied by a bid security of US$25,000 or SLL245, 000,000.00 ;
  3. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12.15 hours on the 10th August, 2020 at the Conference Room, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 1st Floor, Youyi Building, Brookfields, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
