Job description :

Under the supervision of the Democracy, Governance, Rights and Peace (DRGP) Office Deputy Director, the incumbent collaborates on communication materials, strategies, and writing support, employing tools, such as audience mapping and analysis, messaging workshops, and mentoring others on communications. In the field, collects interviews and quality photos for dissemination.  Coordinates programs and visits independently, organizes formal training for USAID staff and local government.

 

Job requirements :

Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, International Development, Communications, Education, Finance, Governance, or International Relations is required.

Evaluations : Qualifications : All applicants under consideration will be required to pass security certifications.

 

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible, professional experience working with/for publicly funded organizations, government and non-profit organizations or is required. Work with voluntary organizations may also be considered ;
  • Post Entry Training : Must learn USAID program/project documentation and procedures and Political-Economic Analysis principles.

Language : Level IV (Fluent) reading/speaking/writing of English is required (this will be tested). Must be able to write high-level English documents (this will be tested.) French Level 2/2 is required (this will be tested).
