CNFA applies market-system approaches that engage local stakeholders to strengthen value chains and increase incomes, competitiveness, and employment for smallholder farmers and agribusinesses. CNFA programs strengthen the organizational and technical capacity of agribusinesses, cooperatives, and associations to support farmers and promote the uptake of improved technologies and techniques to enhance productivity and natural resource management. We improve business and management practices of farmers and agribusinesses and increase their access to affordable financial services. We also facilitate strong business linkages between smallholders and suppliers of quality inputs, service providers, buyers, and profitable markets. CNFA has a successful track record of implementing agricultural development programs in 45 countries.

Background

CNFA is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates in the following areas for the USAID Niger Markets and Nutrition Activity This activity will work to strengthen market systems to sustainably improve household incomes and nutritional status.

CNFA is currently seeking applications for the following types of professionals with minimum 7 (seven) years of experience in their respective sector to support this project. Please indicate the area(s) of expertise for which you would like to apply in your application:

  • Poultry Value Chain Experts

 

Key Qualifications :

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in agricultural development, value chains, enterprise, access to finance and/or agribusiness ;
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required, Master’s degree is preferred ;
  • Experience working on USAID-funded projects is preferred ;
  • Experience working in Niger is highly preferred ;
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
