Request for expressions of interest (consulting services – firms) for the strategic towns water supply and sanitation project (STWSSP) – Uganda

The Government of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the Strategic Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Project (STWSSP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amounts for these funds to payments under the contracts for consultancy assignments for strengthening community planning, mobilisation and management arrangements in small towns water supply systems indicated in the table below :

  • Development   of   a   comprehensive   town-specific mobilisation strategy for the project.
  • Design tools for use in the mobilisation, planning for and  management  of  water  supply  and  sanitation systems.  Tools  include  information,  education  and communication materials in the English language and interpreted in the languages used in each town.
  • Assignment

1: Katoke, Bundibugyo

2:  Nakasongola,
Dokolo, Kapchorwa,

  • Develop a drama script with relevant WASH messages.
  • Assignment

3: Busaana,
Buikwe, districts

  • Drama script should be relevant to region taking into consideration the cultural, social attributes and attitudes and practices of the region.
Duration of the Assignment: 6 months

 

The Ministry of Water and Environment, now invites consultants (firms) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. The borrower is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 30th August 2019 at 11:00 a.m. (local time) and mention the Procurement Reference Number and Subject of Procurement indicated in the above table.
