Mission: Sponsorships, as our flagship product, provide most of our programmes with a strong and reliable source of income. Through sponsorships, supporters from different parts of the world are given the opportunity to build unique, long-term relations with our organisation; gaining insight into the daily lives of children, families and communities. The National Sponsorship Coordinator plays a major role in making the sponsorship programme successful through provision of high quality services as promised to sponsors.
Required criteria:
- Possesses university degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Business administration, Languages or any other related field.
- Has 2-3 years’ work experience in a relevant field, preferably with an international organisation.
- Has excellent written and spoken English skills (knowledge of English will be tested)
- Has excellent computer literacy
Needed competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities
General
- Has a strong customer orientation (optional: experience in the servicing industry)
- Possesses excellent organisational skills
- Likes working in an international setting and with people from varying cultural backgrounds
- Has an interest in child protection topics
- Is able to represent the area of sponsorship services within the national association
Communication
- Is a good communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Can design and create innovative, inspiring messages for sponsors and donors
- Has an eye for design and layout
- Is able to convey complex issues in written communication with donors (optional: experience in emergency/crisis communication)
Team work
- Likes working with or within a team and virtual team
- Is able to build, guide and plan with a team of sponsorship co-workers at programme level
- Has the ability to build and maintain structures and networks
- Is able to design, organise and hold workshops to implement global guidelines and requirements
Personality
- Is result-oriented and self-reflective, determined, innovative and pro-active
- Shows social competence and is an excellent networker
- Has leadership and/or supervisory experience.
