Virgin Australia seeks to recruit Investor Relations & Corporate Finance Manager – Brisbane

Context :

The Investor Relations and Corporate Finance Manager manages  two key aspects for the Virgin Group, firstly it will be responsible for communicating clear, accurate, credible and consistent information about the Virgin Australia Group to the equity market. The area of the role will be required to establish the Investor Relations Strategy, in conjunction with Senior Management, and provide feedback to Senior Management and Executives on market views of the Company.  Secondly, the role will be closely involved in corporate finance and development activities including any transaction which are being pursued by the company.  This area of the role will incorporate the project management of external advisors and internal stakeholder and interaction with Senior Management and Executives.  You will be responsible for ensuring commercial evaluation and decisioning is strategically aligned and driving shareholder value.

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to :

• Communicate information about the Virgin Australia Group to the equity market;
• Maintain awareness of developments in disclosure regulations and best practice, both locally and internationally, and adhere to the disclosure policy for use by the company;
• Develop strategies and plans for communication with the market, including buy-side and sell-side analysts and retail shareholders;
• Provide feedback to management on market views of the company and actively contribute to strategic planning;
• Effective project management of Corporate Development activities.

About you :

You are naturally curious about company performance, insights and trends and as well as competitor and market analysis. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working with internal and external resources to deliver credible and accurate reports and summaries.

Additionally, you will have:

• Experience within Investor Relations and Corporate Finance is essential;
• Previous exposure to working with external market analysts, brokers and investors;
• Ability to present to and manage senior internal stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Commercial evaluation and strategy experience;
• Strong financial modelling and evaluation skills.
