  1. The African Development Bank now invites Individual Consultants to express their interest for in the following Assignment: Associate Research Officer (Junior Consultant), within MFW4A Secretariat ;
  2. The consultant will be part of the MFW4A Team and will report to the Research and Knowledge Manager. Specifically, his/her functions and responsibilities are, but not limited to :
  • Conduct a weekly review of new research, policy papers, and other documents and select relevant materials and information for the Partnership’s website ;
  • Develop and source original content for selected sections of the Partnership’s website, including, but not limited to country / thematic data, the donor projects database and financial sector development indicators ;
  • In coordination with the rest of the Knowledge Management team and MFW4A pillar heads, support the development of new publications, knowledge products and innovative features based the Partnership priorities.
  1. The candidate should be below the age of thirty-two (32), and should have at least a Master Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields with a minimum of two (2) and maximum of five (5) years of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on financial sector development issues ;
  2. Interested Individual Consultants must provide information on their capacity and experience indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Resume, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.) ;
  3. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants”, for projects financed under the African Development Bank window, May 2008 edition, revised in July 2012 which is available on the Bank’s website at (http://www.afdb.org) The Bank is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest ;
  4. The assignment will have a duration of twelve (12) months, renewable upon successful completion of the assigned tasks. The position is located within the MFW4A Secretariat in Abidjan, Côte d’ivoire. The commencement date is planned for June 15th, 2019 ;
