This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.
The African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) is implementing the TAAT Policy Enabler Compact, financed through a grant from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds for this grant to facilitate payments under the contract to conduct a review and analysis of national and regional agricultural policies and their impact in nine Africa Countries.
The service will involve the review, assessment, analysis, synthesis of various sectoral and macroeconomic policies, laws and regulation impacting the agricultural sector in Uganda, Mauritania, Mozambique, Guinee Conakry, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana and DRC. The review also includes an assessment of their achievements, success factors, constraints or hurdles and generation of a comprehensive, harmonized, consistent and coherent policy review document that can be used as a sourcebook to provide guidance in policy incentives to grow the agricultural sector in the RMCs. In addition, the technical consultant is expected to make critical recommendations to the TAAT Policy Enabler and the African Development Bank, AHAI based on results and findings from the desk review research, prospective policy intervention areas that exhibit potential for immediate impact. The task will be conducted within a period of 8 weeks.
AATF now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested individual consultants must provide comprehensive curriculum vitae information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services including a description of similar assignments done and experience in similar conditions.
One individual consultant will be selected for each country in accordance with the procedures set out in the African Development Bank’s Rules and Procedures for the Use of Consultants.
