The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms Consulting Firm to assist the Bank in the preparation of its Private Sector Development (PSD)

Dear Sir/Madam :

1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms (“Firms”) to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: Consulting Firm to assist the Bank in the preparation of its Private Sector Development (PSD) Strategy for the period 2021-2025 ;
2. The services to be provided under the Assignment are described below. The Consulting Firm will work under the supervision of the Director PINS with the aim of structuring and drafting the PSD Strategy document.

The main activities include: i) Evaluation of the major results of the PSD Strategy 2013-2017; ii) Analysis of the major challenges PSD is facing in RMCs and the impact that leveraging of its potential on sustainable growth and on achieving SDGs; iii) Draft the PSD Strategy that guides the Bank’s future operations during the period 2021-2025; iv) Draft the business plan related to the PSD Strategy and outline the key prerequisites of its implementation.

3. PINS invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (documents, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;

4. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short-list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Rules and Procedure for Acquisition of Consulting Services funded by the Administrative or Capital Expenditure Budget. Please, note that interest expressed by a Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist  ;

5. The assignment will be for a period of 120 business days. The starting date will be 1^st July 2019 ;

6. Interested Consulting Firms may obtain further information at the email address below during the Bank’s working hours: from 09 :00 to 17 :00 hours ;

7. Expressions of interest must be received by email at the address above no later than Friday 7 June 2019, at 17h00 local time and specifically mentioning Consulting Firms for PSD Strategy.

8. A shortlist of six Firms will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The following criteria will be used to come up with the shortlist, on the basis of their updated resume.
